MPA, a voluntary organization, was formed in 1964 and in 1975 was leased a ground in Bangalore East, then on the outskirts of the city, by the then City Corporation, Government of Karnataka for a period of 30 years.
In 2004 Bangalore Mahanagara Palike asked MPA to purchase the land when the lease got over in July 2005 for Rs. 2.5 crores. Since the latter half of 2004, thanks to liberal contributions received from many well wishers from all segments, and taking loans, over drafts and refundable deposits, we have managed to pay the full amount and get the land registered in the name of MPA. However MPA is facing huge liabilities of Rs. 1.2 crores and has to refund loans taken.
In order to continue our various programmes and for future expansion, we appeal to you to join us in this endeavour towards clearing the liabilities and to continue with our programmes.
Presently MPA has residents from different economic backgrounds and a number of them are given concessions in the fee.
MPA has also increased the number of programmes and services related to mental health disorders.
To be able to maintain our high standards of service we need to rely on the support from donors and well wishers. We look forward to your generosity and kindness.

2.Donate in kind (furniture/kitchen gadgets/solar water heater/solar lights/ computers for residents.)
3.Volunteer your services. (Attend to the Sahai help line/help residents in learning skills like cooking, gardening, tailoring, painting, yoga, holistic training/skills improvement for maintenance staff/spend time with residents.)
Donations towards programmes are entitled to a benefit of tax exemption under section 80 G of Income Act 1961
Contribution towards residents subsidy, amount ranging between Rs 2000 to 5000 pm.
Contribution towards annual carnival and similar other activities.
General contribution towards programme expenses.
Contribution towards improving the facilities like library, sports, occupational therapy, cooking etc.
